Semigroups of inverse quotients
We examine, in a general setting, a notion of inverse semigroup of left quotients, which we call left I-quotients. This concept has appeared, and has been used, as far back as Clifford’s seminal work describing bisimple inverse monoids in terms of their right unit subsemigroups. As a consequence of our approach, we find a straightforward way of extending Clifford’s work to bisimple inverse semi...

متن کاملTopology of Generalized Complex Quotients
Consider the Hamiltonian action of a torus on a compact twisted generalized complex manifold M. We first observe that Kirwan injectivity and surjectivity hold for ordinary equivariant cohomology in this setting. Then we prove that these two results hold for the twisted equivariant cohomology as well.
متن کاملGrowth of Finitely Presented Rees Quotients of Free Inverse Semigroups
We prove that a finitely presented Rees quotient of a free inverse semigroup has polynomial growth if and only if it has bounded height. This occurs if and only if the set of nonzero reduced words has bounded Shirshov height and all nonzero reduced but not cyclically reduced words are nilpotent. This occurs also if and only if the set of nonzero geodesic words have bounded Shirshov height. We a...

Necessary and sufficient conditions for a set-valued map K : R ։ R to be GDQ-differentiable are given. It is shown that K is GDQ differentiable at t0 if and only if it has a local multiselection that is Cellina continuously approximable and Lipschitz at t0. It is also shown that any minimal GDQ of K at (t0, y0) is a subset of the contingent derivative of K at (t0, y0), evaluated at 1. Then this...
